The weekend
Two events. Two days. Both free to enter.
The Lexington Blueberry Festival runs two open competitions over the weekend, both at Lexington Community Park, both hosted by Ohio Social Sports and both made free by Richland Public Health. Friday evening is an individual home run derby under the lights. Saturday is a full-day grass volleyball tournament with round-robin pool play into championship playoffs.
You do not need to be an athlete for either one. Both are open to all skill levels, and you can enter the volleyball on your own if you do not have a team.

Whether you’re a seasoned softball player or just after a fun challenge, this one is open to every skill level. Hit against other competitors, soak up the festival, and see who takes the title.

2026 Blueberry Festival Grass Volleyball Tournament
Gather your team for a full day on the grass. Join Ohio Social Sports for a day of free grass volleyball at the 2026 Lexington Blueberry Festival. Seasoned player or just after a good day out with friends, the tournament is open to every skill level — plenty of guaranteed games, a competitive but welcoming atmosphere, and one of Ohio’s favourite summer festivals going on around you.
How the tournament runs
Hover or tab a pool to follow it through to the championship.
Round robin means you play everyone in your pool first, so every team gets a run of games before anyone goes home.

- Traditional round-robin pool play
- Championship playoffs
- Teams of 6, with a minimum of 2 players of each gender on the court
- Register as a free agent, a small group of 2–4, or a full team

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes, both days. Richland Public Health covers the cost so nobody pays to enter.
Do I need a team for the volleyball?
No. Register as a free agent and you will be placed, or bring a small group of two to four and we will fill you out. Full teams of six are welcome too.
What if I have never done a home run derby?
Come anyway. It is open to all skill levels and it is an individual competition, so you are not letting a team down.
How many games do we get?
Volleyball runs round-robin pool play before the championship playoffs, so every team is guaranteed a run of games rather than one and out.
Where are the events held?
Both are at Lexington Community Park, Lexington, Ohio. The derby is Friday evening and the volleyball is all day Saturday.
Can people come and watch?
Of course. Bring family and friends, and make a day of the festival either side of your games.
