What To Bring

Cash for vendors, comfortable shoes, sun and weather gear, and a chair or blanket.

A little preparation goes a long way. Here is what we recommend bringing for a comfortable day at the festival:

  • Cash — many vendors accept cards, but some are cash-only. There is an ATM next to the main office if you need it.
  • Comfortable shoes — the festival is spread across the park, including grass and uneven ground.
  • Sun and weather protection — sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses for August afternoons, plus a light layer for the evening.
  • A refillable water bottle — staying hydrated is important during the warmest part of the day.
  • A camping chair or blanket — handy for the Brightspeed Stage music, the Sunday Funday Parade, and the Saturday-night fireworks.
  • A small bag or backpack — for vendor purchases, sunscreen, and the day's essentials.

There is seating throughout the grounds, but bringing your own chair guarantees a comfortable spot for the events you most want to see.

Rules & What Not To Bring

No alcohol on park grounds, no pets (service animals welcome), and please leave glass at home.

To keep the festival safe and welcoming for everyone, please keep these guidelines in mind:

  • No alcohol on park grounds.
  • No pets — service animals are always welcome.
  • No glass containers — please use plastic or cans to keep the grounds safe.
  • No personal fireworks — enjoy the professional fireworks show on Saturday night.
  • Clean up after yourself — trash and recycling bins are located throughout the grounds.

The festival is free to enter, with no tickets required for general admission. Certain attractions like the rides & games midway have their own ticket structures. If you are unsure about anything, festival staff at the main office are happy to help.

When To Arrive

Arrive 30-45 minutes before specific events. Crowds peak Saturday evening.

The festival is open for the full day across each festival day, so there is no single "right" time to arrive. That said, here are some helpful guidelines:

  • Thursday August 20: Crowds build through the evening for the opening night Blue Lights & Bubbles Parade. Arrive by 6 PM to find good parking and parade viewing.
  • Friday August 21: The Car & Bike Show is the highlight. Plan to arrive between 4 and 6 PM.
  • Saturday August 22: The big day. Crowds peak in the afternoon and stay through the SORELLE concert and 10 PM fireworks. Arrive by 5 PM for music and 9 PM for fireworks viewing.
  • Sunday August 23: The Sunday Funday Parade steps off at 2 PM. Find parade viewing by 1:30 PM.

If you have day-of questions about timing or what is happening when, festival staff at the main office can help.
